dudley hannaford A brief account as recorded by one of many young Australian airmen who became part of Bomber Command in World War 2.
Just a few months before the war's end in Europe in 1945, Dudley Hannaford, a member of a Lancaster bomber crew, took off from 463 RAAF Squadron, Waddington, Lincolnshire, England on their eighteenth mission to a distant oil target in East Saxony. they failed to return to base. those who survived spent the rest of the war in POW camps.
