Millington's mission

This is the true story of an Australian who made it his life's work to see that an everlasting memorial to Gallipolis fallen soldiers was created and maintained on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Millington was sent to Gallipoli and the Somme where he was wounded. 

 

He was then posted to a signals school and the to the Imperial War Graves Commission where he began a friendship with former Turkish enemy, Pasha Ismail. In world war two he worked for British Intelligence setting up a radio post in Troy.
