the cage an englishman in vietnam
tom abraham
Tom 'Bud' Abraham was one of the very few Englishmen to serve in Vietnam. As an officer in the 1st Cavalry Division during 1967/8, he saw combat in some of the fiercest encounters of the war. During the Tet offensive he was captured by the Vietcong. At length, after periods of torture, he escaped. But the jungle was as unforgiving as the enemy. Eventually he made it back to England and took up a 'normal' life. Thirty years later an encounter with the Police brought the nightmare flooding back and his life was swept away in the deluge. He lost his family, his home and his self respect.
This book is part of the rebuilding process. The future lay in confronting the past.
