albert palazzo Created in 1973 from the Royal Australian Army Service Corps and the Royal Australian Engineers (Transportation), the RACT has built an impressive record of service to the ADF.
This history tells how the new Corps built on the proud traditions and heritage of its forebears. The corps has been committed to operations in Antarctica, Somalia, Cambodia, Rwanda, Bougainville and East Timor. It has also undertaken support tasks in Australia, for the 1982 Brisbane Commonwealth Games along with the Sydney Olympics and Paralympics.
