A look at the Royal Australian Navy submarine service to modern times and included HMAS Rankin which featured on the 2005 SBS documentary.. The authors joined a crew and interviewed them in sea-going conditions - and at the same time experienced life aboard one of our submarines. Our submarines go mostly unseen and unheard but can deliver a knock-out punch against any prospective enemy ships. They guard the nation and playa vital role in the Navy. Very well illustrated in full-colour lucky to have them and the men and women who sail, maintain, build and service them. |
