This is the story of the still active 6 Squadron, RAAF between 1917 and 2005 and its proud history in times of war. It was formed during the Great War where the pilots flew bi-planes of various types and in World War Two, they operated with Ansons, Hudsons and Beauforts and the Squadron saw much action in the islands to our north. In the post–war years, the squadron operated with Lincolns, Canberra bombers, Phantoms and today – F111s. This book fills a much needed gap in our RAAF squadron history. [
